Use of IMCA's CPD App is governed by the CPD App terms and conditions, which can be found at By downloading and using the CPD App you confirm that you accept those terms and conditions and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions then do not download or use the CPD App.

The CPD App

This App is intended to provide a platform for the continual assessment and certification of Diving Supervisors and facilitates Diving Supervisors' compliance with their Continuing Professional Development ("CPD") obligations. In order to validate their IMCA certification from year to year and remain current, Diving Supervisors must review the contents of each Module that is added to the App and complete the relevant self-assessment questions as required.

IMCA makes every effort to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data contained in the documents it publishes and systems it maintains, but IMCA shall not be liable for any guidance and/or recommendation and/or statement contained in the CPD App. The information contained in the CPD App does not fulfil or replace any Diving Supervisor's legal, regulatory or other duties or obligations in respect of their operations. A Diving Supervisors remain solely responsible for the safe, lawful and proper conduct of operations they carry out.

Data provided here is used for the following purpose(s):

  • Accreditation and certification – IMCA runs accreditation and certification schemes for certain positions in the offshore industry. As part of this, it collects and processes personal data relating to candidates and qualified personnel, which includes additional identity verification (such as passport or driving licence details), details of relevant certification and work history and a history of the application process, including examinations and resits. An online validation facility limits access to personal data to display of confirmatory details. An IMCA CPD app, available for certain positions, uses only that data necessary to enable login and tracking of user progress. Such data is generally retained permanently. This is required to ensure a robust system that ensures the competence of those working highly safety critical positions in the offshore industry.
